Course Objective:
The PADI Open Water Diver Certification is designed to teach a brand new diver the essential skills and knowledge to become a safe and confident diver.
Prerequisites:

​10 years of age for the PADI Junior Open Water Diver Certification (Limited to 40' and Must Dive with a Parent or Guardian)

15 years of age for the PADI Open Water Diver Certification

Must be able to swim and be comfortable in the water.

Complete the DIVER MEDICAL - Participant Questionnaire. Read the form carefully. If you are able to answer "YES" to any of the questions, a Physician must SIGN OFF and give APPROVAL for you to participate in diving activities.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, understand we WILL NOT allow you in the pool or ocean if you have a "yes" without a signed medical. We have been the "bad guys" before due to this issue. We will not risk our student's safety just so they can try scuba diving.
​What is Involved?

​Independent Study - PADI Open Water eLearning Course - to understand the basic principles of diving.

(5) - Confined Water Dives (Pool Dives) to learn the basic scuba skills.

(2) - Water Skill Assessments (200 yard swim / 10 minute float)

(4) - Open Water Dives (Shore Ocean Dives) to review your skills and explore the underwater​ environment.

Mask, Snorkel, Booties & Fins (We have a large selection of Masks, Snorkels & Fins with packages starting at $100. Owning your own basic equipment ensures a proper fit, something that CAN'T be guaranteed with rentals)
Not ready for an equipment investment? We have many different types of masks, fins, booties, & snorkels you can use for no additional charge!

How Many Students In The Course?
We are proud to offer PRIVATE / SEMI PRIVATE COURSES!
Our courses are smaller, allowing us to focus on your every need, as you become a PADI certified open water diver. We enroll an average of 2-3 students per instructor. Many of our courses offer PRIVATE 1 on 1 Instruction.
How Long Is The Course?
The PADI Open Water Diver course is performance based. This means that there is no time limit on any of our courses. We will work with EVERY student, until they are 100% comfortable with the required scuba skills. You will leave our class feeling confident and ready to take on your next diving adventure.

Independent Study - 5-10 hours*

The Classroom Review over 1 hour*.

The Confined Water Dives take place over 8 hours*.

The Certification Dives are completed in two half days*.

Referral Option:
We also offer the option of having our students complete their Open Water Certification Dives with us, who have already finished their pool and classroom work with another instructor, dive center or training agency. All that is required is your referral paperwork at the time of course signup. With the Referral, the student will start off with a quick classroom session to ensure their basic diving knowledge, a confined water (pool) dive to refresh the basic skills they learned during their pool portion of the Open Water Course. Then the student will complete the 4 remaining Open Water Dives in the ocean.
NO HIDDEN FEES. We offer our students everything in One Easy Price. Signing up for the "Full" Open Water Coursee will include EVERYTHING you need to get certified. All you need is your own swim suit and towel!)
